Bottled. Yellowish golden with a small white head. Aroma is mild funk, some honey as well as green apple skins and some pear. Flavour is kind of passion fruity with some honey, funk and mild spicy and herbal notes. Bittery tart finish.

Super clear golden and light peach coloured body with a remarkably crystal glow and a thin, fast-dying pure white head that leaves just about nothing on top after a few seconds. Very crisp and super drying malt scents at first with some oats and grain along with the funky brett, a lot of coriander seed freshness, a hint of dry white pepper and some other spices and ending with a twang of citrus. Light-bodied; Crisp and dry malt flavours at first with a lot of coriander seed freshness, some subtle wheat elements, but a lot of funky and bretty dry yeast that shows more of a biere de garde vibe than anything else. Aftertaste shows some bretty funk, a crisp dry grain flavour and again, a touch of citrus with wheat around the edges with no sweetness, no pungency, a hint of astringency and only a dash of spices as well. Overall, a dry and grainy beer with a touch of brett and wild yeast notes, but mostly a very dry biere de garde (this isn't really a saison to me) with the slightest note of brett and funked yeasts. This is decent at best and for the price, a waste of time trying to go out and find or sample this one. Not everything that a producer makes is necessarily good - remember that, as I feel like the folks rating this one are all stuck on reputations alone. I sampled this 37,5 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Columbus Circle), New York on 27-November-2015 for US$11,99 sampled at home in Washington around 2,5 years later on 10-April-2018.

Bottle - turbid hold - downright milky - creamy and full texture - delicate, balanced mixture of Brett funk and tropical notes, cheese rind, white wine, oak, tartness - peppery phenolics from the base beer shine through in the finish - lemon meringue - quite nice.

375ml bottle. Pours gold and hazy. Lemon, peach, bread, sourdough bread, lemon juice, lemon zest, gooseberry, funky hay, white grapes. Sour, yeasty, bitter, sweet, dry. So much going on and so much to love. Undoubtably the best saison I’ve ever drunk.

Bottle in Winter Park with jcnielsen. Thanks Justin! Pours a milky yellow appearance with a white head. Dank, piney hops in the nose. Grapefruit, lemon, vanilla, funk, and light plastic in the nose. Kind of tastes like pineapple upside down cake. Candy, herbal, and white wine notes. The aroma is pretty fun but the flavor wasn’t quite as good as expected. Fine to try but not a repeat buy.

Bottle into a shaker showing opaque caramel brown with two fingers of clean white foam. The nose shows notes of brett with dry apricot. The palate is fully carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of brett and dry apricot but tinged with a white wine bitterness that shows up throughout the beer. Moderately tart. The white wine is captured well with the Brett but white wine slightly overpowers the Brett.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 9/2015. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, musty funk, oak, wheat, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pale malt, and wine barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, musty funk, oak, wheat, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate tart/spicy yeast and tannic wine barrel notes on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, musty funk, oak, wheat, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pale malt, and wine barrel flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance; and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/tannic notes, increasing through the glass. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic/tannic, and creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.2%. Overall this is an outstanding Brett saison! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pale malt, and wine barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced tartness/acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, small head. Pungent citrus fruitiness, over acid mouthfeel, a bit spicy, flowery.
Refreshing, delicious.

Gold and clear. Light brett nose. Light biscuity pale malt, touch toasty, underdeveloped. Needs more time for the brett to do its work. Quite smoky, too, which seems an odd character.
