Bottle. Courtesy of the brewery. Except for a small amount of dregs, this is a clear one, mahogany in color and topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has lots of bread crust, toffee, nuts, with some dark chocolate, a grassy, herbal hoppyness and a distinct lager character. It's medium to full-bodied, softy carbonated and semi-dry, with a gentle bitterness. There's a faint metallic touch in the finish, but the flavor consists mostly of toffee, bread and caramel. Chocolate, nuts, some meaty notes and some grassy, herbal and very lightly piney hops too. Quite long finish. Not bad this one, it's both tasteful and moreish, and would work well with a number of dishes or snacks. 240417

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 5.2%, IBU 23. Mahogany colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, roasted nuts, brown bread and honey. The flavour is moderately sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops.

Bottle. Clear, deep reddish/golden body with a nice beige head. Mild malty aroma with hint of toast. Taste is malt driven with caramel, toast and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. A pretty forward, classic Münchener.

From bottle on board Fridtjofen 30.07.20. Dark mahogany. Diminishing pale brown head. Aroma and taste of medium dark malt, brittle, dark caramel and roasted nuts. Perhaps slightly waterish.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Good looking with a rosewood body, steady off-white head leaving crocheted lacing behind. Lightly roasted aromas of dark bread and earth. Malt-fruity flavours, hints of herbal hops and caramel malts. Ends with a twist of roasted bitterness. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 16.07.2020)
