A Big Boozy Blonde was brewed with a boatload of oats, giving it a creamy sweet mouthfeel with a hoppy blast. It’s like a powdered sugar donut topped with deliciously dank resinous hops. Chow down!

Aroma is caramel malts and a mixed bad of grassy, piney and citrus hop. Flavour is composed of big sticky pine resin, hop oil, tangy orange. Palate is full bodied, sticky resinous hop, . Porage. Solid smooth Dipa.

Bomber from Plum Market, 4/11/16. Hazy orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of oats, toasted malts, citrus hops. The taste is toasted malts, oats, bitter citrus and tropical hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness. This beer’s 150th rating!

22oz bomber pours with a clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a dirty white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up malt sweetened pine hops, bitter smelling grapefruit and some floral hops. Decent aroma. The taste delivers a wide hop load with plenty of sweetened pine hop resiny bitterness, floral hop bitterness and then orange zest and grapefruit hop bitterness. It creates a big resiny bitterness that’s tempered by sweet malts and then into the finish bitter floral and citrus hops take over and then lead to a pine and a growing floral hop after taste. Pretty good stuff but it tastes a little dated actually. Wow, there is almost no sense of the massive ABV here either.

This beer pours a slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and sweet honey and malt in the background. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

From a bottle at the DC tasting on March 25, 2016. Poured a clear golden orange color with a white head. Aroma was light citrus, touch of honey. Floral. Light tropical fruit, someone said "honey mustard" and I guess I kind of see it, though since I love honey mustard, I guess it’s not really a detriment. Light malty sweetness. Pleasant.

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Orange amber. White head. Sweet orange. Herb. Soft spice hop. Taste is sweet and chewy. Smooth, chewy mouthfeel. More sweetness on the finish. Too much. Tasty, though. One I’d like to try again on its own.

An odd ipa with the oat vibe but decent. Citrus and a little booze. Some candied apple. Golden pour. Bottle shared at tasting.
