Collaboration with Brandon Jones of Embrace The Funk and Yazoo Brewing in Nashville, TN. Based on an old homebrew recipe of Brandon’s this Saison was brewed with TN Oats, 15 lbs of various Heirlooms citrus and all Amarillo hops. Open fermented with Brandon’s blend of Saison and wild yeasts.

32oz growler poured into a keg shaped glass. Gulf of Mexico driftwood, Brian is really having a laugh about this one. I got this for $3, which is fine for a joke beer. Its an oily brett funk, just about it. A little sweet light goats oil. Light. Meh, fine. Not enough Mexican Gulf wood, I guess.

Draft at The Sovereign. Poured a cloudy yellow color with a huge white head. aroma was light yeasty Saison notes, hay, barn notes. Citrus. Refreshing.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, large off white head, fluffy with nice clumpy lacing. Aroma is dusty, hay, pepper, orange zest, light honey. Flavor is light sweet, light funk, hint of tartness, fruity, hints of wood. Light body. Tasty.

Draft at the Sovereign. Cloudy yellow color, thick white head. Aroma of dusty lemon and vanilla. Taste is smooth cobwebs, citrus, bread, dust. Delicious.

Draft @ Saint-Somewhere, big thanks to Bob for the pour. Dorée claire, col blanc épais. Arôme au bouquet mettant l’accent sur cette levure caractéristique de Saint-Somewhere, le tout ponctué par un léger houblonné noble. Retrouve une impression boisée qui reste assez discrète sans vraiment prendre l’effet minéral d’un bois de plage. Palais est légèrement funk-levure sauvage, sec avec un boisé minimaliste, fini citrique pointe minérale. Houblonné noble apportant une note citronnée. Malt pils, et flocons de seigle donnant une certaine épaisseur en bouche et fine épaisseur.
