In the beginning, there was an innovative West Coast brewer by the name of Pete, who developed a wicked-good and ground-breaking American ale. This super-tasty beer boasted Brewer’s Gold hops used for dry-hopping and an abundance of specialty malt, which gave it a great character unlike any other beer available. It quickly gained a loyal following among beer lovers, and became known the world-over as the defacto-standard American Brown Ale. Pete is no stranger to the Akron area, having made his Cocoa-Pete’s Chocolates in North Canton and where we first connected. So now, Hoppin’ Frog along with this creative brewing icon have developed Re-Pete 2X as a double version of the original, to pay homage to the innovative energy of American brewers, and deliver a great beer to TRUE BEER LOVERS!

bottle from boxbeers.dk clear nutty borwn, small light brown to yellow head. The brown color is very beautiful, like hard polished dark wood. aroma is malty, nutty , bitter but not flowery hoppy, flavor is malty, nutty, sweet malty, sweet as well as bitter caramel. also a stngy peppery bite in the mouth and touge, but not with the peppery taste that usually go with it. kinda strange. This is probably the super high ABV.

A very dark beer, reddish brown. A head is is small and beige. Aroma has dried and fresh fruitness, perries, sweet dry cake, some alcohol, complex. Taste has also strong dried fruitness that is unnormally fresh, raisins, apricots, some chocolatebread and some alcohol in the end. Only medium+ bodied that makes this easy to drink. Great complexicity and tasteful beer.
