Old Carlsberg Porter has an almost oily-fat filling and appears black with tight mocha colored foam. The taste is sweet with a hint of dry bitterness. The aroma is powerful with notes of licorice root, newly roasted coffee, bitter chocolate and warming alcohol.

Svart farge med tykt beige skum. Lukter sjokolade, vanilje. Smaker av sjokolade og en anelse kaffe. Kjenner alkoholen. Mild avslutning.

Bottle from a Copenhagen convenience store. Poured almost black with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate. alcohol liqourice, coffee palate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich, roasty, dry coffee, chocolate palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Much better than I expected.

Kóstoltam én ezt már régen is, ötlött az eszembe mikor jó nagyot húztam a pintes pohárból. Hát persze, ez a Carls Porter álruhában.

Very vintage bottle, but no clue on how old it is since it doesnt have a date on it. Inside of the cap is totally fucked up. Some parts of the downside stuck on the opening. The beer itself appears to be fine, as it pours black with still a good, and rather stable, grey head. Lots of sediments though, chemical thickeners?? Smell is intense roasted malts, portorization in a very good way. Taste is really nice ! Great grainnotes, very roasty, rather sweet, some oats, some portorization. It drinks like a very simple, basic imperial stout ( I dont know why it isn’t under that style) but with a magnificent balance and outstanding complexity. I wish I knew how old it was, I believe this is probably the perfect age for this beer. Love it !

500 ml can. Black body with a relatively small, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is sweet, roasted dark malt, coffee, chokolate, a hint of liquorice, moderate bitterness and faint alcohol. Nice body and a good, sweet and roasted aftertaste. A nice and quiet robust porter that manage to be smooth at the same time
