Old Carlsberg Porter has an almost oily-fat filling and appears black with tight mocha colored foam. The taste is sweet with a hint of dry bitterness. The aroma is powerful with notes of licorice root, newly roasted coffee, bitter chocolate and warming alcohol.

Bottle from random kiosk on Christianshavn - black pour with brown head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, with some milk chocolate, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, some burnt notes, allot better than was expecting. Very nice.

Black color with a tan head with good duration. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, notes of chocolate and ripe fruits. Flavor is slightly sweet with hints of roasted malts and coffee. Smooth and creamy on palate with light sweet notes.

Medium dark brown head. Roasty chocolatey aroma with earthy notes. Very delicate and harmonic aroma. Dry-sweet roasty chocolatey taste with burnt caramelly notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty resiny chocolate aftertaste with dusty burnt caramelly notes. Lingering delicate sweetness and bitterness in perfect balance, with dark chocolate, toffee, and vanilla fudge notes with background minerals. Alcohol heat remains when all else has faded. This is just excellent. (0.5l can, from FΓΈtex, Frederikshavn.)

Can. Pours opaque black with large brown head. Aroma is malt, rotated malt, rye bread, grain, malt whisky, earth, bark and autumn leaves. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter, light acidic and faint salty. Body is light oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and balanced bitter and sweet and dominated by malt, but there?s also notes of coffee, licorice, prunes, gravy, soy sauce, ammonium chloride and rye bread again. Extremely complex and rich yet will balanced.

500 ml. can obtained in a trade with Dedollewaitor. Thx! Shared with multiple people @ Modeste 2014. Great responses all around, including people from 3 Fonteinen. Dark brown, thick mocha head. Nose is thick chocolate, lots of soy chocolate milk, ashes. Taste pure thick soy chocolate milk, light ashes, creamy, instant coffee, milk chocolate, very nice. Bit light for style, touch grainy but drinks really well with delicious thick soy chocolate milk. Getting easily cans of this should be wonderful.

Typical Baltic porter though the label also says "imperial stout", attesting the common ancestry of both styles. Yellowish beige, thin but stable head, colour blackish; roasted and subduedly fruity aroma and taste, hint of soy sauce, finish very roasted bitter, oily mouthfeel. Very tasty and stood the test of time well, gained some madera notes after years of aging.

Can from FΓΈtex. Pours black with very thick, foamy brown head. Quite sweet and malty, but not not much taste beyond roasted malts. Dryer than your average porter, quite bitter, not too alcoholic, well balanced.
