Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear mahogany brown coloured pour with a fading beige head. Not helles at all. Aroma is light vinegar, dark malts, some powdered chocolate, dried fruits, apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, oily fruit loaf, raisin, some woody spice, messy and muddled. Palate is semi sweet, oily, very low cask condition. A complete mess.

Cask at the Barrel Vaults, St Pancras on 7th February 2026. Dark ruby with dense yellowish white foam and spot lacing. Roast malt aroma. Guinness flavours in-mouth and finish. Velvet smooth mouthfeel and a full body.

Interesting brew. Quite fruity, lots of semi-dark fruits, grape, a light berry note, very soft toasted malts, wouldn’t say toasty. Some toasted sugar sweetness. Burnt biscuits perhaps. Decently balanced. Novel. Enjoyed a half pint, wouldn’t opt for more than that.
