German-style sour dark adambier brewed in collaboration with Freigeist. Fermented with ale yeast, lager yeast, and other things, a wild mix of uber-good flavors is created in this ancient Germal-style Sour Dark Adambier from centuries ago. Working in collaboration with our friend, historian, and brewmaster Sebastian Sauer from Freigeist Brewery in Cologne, Germany, we made this old-style beer with a wide array of German malts for a rich, authentic taste. 22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown, pitch black. Small brown head. Aroma is slight metallic. Dense overripe fruity. Roasted. Dark roasted malty. Bitter and roasted dark malty. Bitter and roasted finish.

[ As Hoppin’ Frog / Freigeist Du Hast Mich Gefrogt ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, tart dark fruit, spicy, sour. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate bitter with a long duration, sour, roasted, chocolate, dusty, dark malt. IMO. quit odd .. like and hate alike thing !! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170818] 7-3-8-4-15

Sampled @ 10th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg, Day 1. Opaque black color, small brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, chocolate, lightly earthy. Taste malts, dark malts, a bit earthy again, light sourness, underlying coffee and chocolate hints, lightly bitter as well. Decent body, quite thick texture and carbonation. Nice!

Bottle, 8.2%. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and bread. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, little sour, citric, oak, sweet and a little bitter.

8 3 7 3 15 Bottle shared at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering ’17. Near black with a small beige head. Aroma of roast, caramel, dark chocolate, dark malts and tart dark fruit notes. Flavour is moderate sweet, moderate to heavy bitter and above light sour. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled @ The Tenth Official Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2017, Day 1. A almost black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits. Taste of mild sour fruits, dark fruits, coffee and roasted malt, nice!
