12 oz tulip glass draft at Sante Adairius Oakland Arbor in Oakland, California. The pour is a black brown, opaque, with a foamy tan head. Nice thick lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is tart, sweetness, wheat grain, and the full amaro and wood. The taste is a bright sour tart citrus, closely followed by wood and the amaro booziness carries the finish. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with soft carbonation and the wood amaro and tart sour carrying the lingering finish. Almost no alcohol presence. Well constructed.

On tap at the Oakland Arbor location.
Aroma is classic dark sour with notes of dark caramel, toffee, toasted bread and nuts along with lots of fruity berry, cassis, raisin, prune and cherry notes. Hints of oak. Medium light alcohol notes. A nice, herbal phenolic note is present as well.
Pours dark brown with lighter brown hues on the edges and a very large, thick, pillowy, tan head that recedes slowly to a smaller film that lingers. Medium lacing and medium small legs.
Flavor is moderately acidic with a light sweetness. Lots of cherry, cassis, barry and dried fruit notes. Lighter notes of caramel, toffee and toasted breads. Light herbal phenolic note. Light oak notes. Medium light bitterness and medium light alcohol notes.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid dark sour ale. Dark sours are not my usual go to when I'm drinking sours, but this has a nice additional complexity from the Amaro barrels. Good fruity notes and malt character. Sour, but not over the top.
