On tap at Glacier, pours a dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is impressively muted for a 9% beer; I wouldn't have guessed there's any honey in here. Flavour is lightly sweet and moderately boozy, with a hint of honey, biscuity malt and alcohol. Clean and vibrant but not particularly interesting flavour-wise. It's alright.

Perfectly clear golden coloured body with a thickish, pure white head that's about three centimetres tall that takes a while to fade. Aroma of rich malts, alcohol, astringent metal and bitterness with a lot of grassiness and dry flavours, but the malts and alcohol are by far the strongest. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Very strong rich malts with a lot of alcohol and astringency coming through showing a deep metallic twang and some bitterness from the hops with a lot of grass as well at the end. Aftertaste is deep and robust with the malts coming through at first along wtih the alcohol, grassy and hay flavours at the end, but the metallic twang is the strongest and pungent. Overall, a pungent and bitter beer with a lot of alcohol and pungency, but even more astringency and strength from the alcohol and metal notes. Nice enough to sample, but not a great beer in terms of the style or compared to others. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Brown Jug in Fairbanks, Alaska on 25-June-2021 for US$2,59 sampled in my hotel room here in Denali [Healy], Alaska on 26-June-2021.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a hazy amber color with a medium sized fluffy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish with yeast, a hint of mustiness, malt and honey. The flavor was sweet with honey, malt, golden fruit and somewhat harsh booziness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

On tap at Glacier. Pours a cloudy copper color (not blonde) with a medium white head. A light spicy sweet nose. The flavor is fruity, banana, sulfur, some hot alcohols, spicy. OK.

This w was served in a flared pilsener at Humpy’s in Anchorage airport.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden to yellow bronzed color with a good one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding.
The smell was super sweet through mainly a honey sweetness.
The taste copied the smell. Light sweet sticky honey aftertaste leaving a sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued. I’d say it had a good sticky coating over my tongue.
Overall, Imperial blonde labeled as a Strong ale not bad.

A golden strong ale with a very thin white head. In aroma, a sweet honey malt with light grassy notes. In mouth, a grainy honey malt with alcohol warmth and herbal German hops. So-so. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 9 2011.
