On tap at Humpyβs.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden orange to yellow color with a thin white slightly foamy head. It dissipated at a nice pace leaving some light lacing here and there.
The smell had a good spicy clove running into the banana esters and combining nicely.
The taste copied the smell and had a nice refreshing sweet banana aftertaste leading to the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. It had the appropriate carbonation to it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good hefeweizen though it wasnβt served in a weizen glass.

Super hazy amber coloured body with a two centimetre tall tan head and a deep copper glow. Aroma of german mustard (odd) with some sauerkraut, malt, yeast and lemons - very strange and very strong. Medium-bodied; Earthy and slightly nutty malty notes with some yeast, bread, cherries, toffee and a little spicey character. Aftertaste shows some of the mustard, a little earth and a lot of spices throughout - all with a little sweetness and not much else. Overall, a very interesting and odd beer with some decent flavours, but not like a beer in this style - more of an altbier or a belgie, even. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home on the other side of this great country in Washington on 18-November-2013.
