Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 21/03/2026.
Pitch black topped with a dirty khaki head that thins to bubbles around the edge.
Nose is decadent chocolate, rich roast, brown sugar melt, coconut shavings, molasses.
Taste comprises dark chocolate shards, booze tunes, coconut fudge, brown sugar melt, light spice, hint of syrup, figs.
Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid kit.

Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, some dark tan bubbles disappear so quickly, it's hard to tell if they ever form a head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, modest fine carbonation, fine for a big ol' brew like this. Rich dark chocolate maltsz decent dark chocolate malt cream. A slightly tangy and dark fruity espresso note. The barrelling being savoury oak wood. Big bourbon richness, slightly boozy and ripe fruity. Mild coconut runs throughout. Big juicy bourbon finish. Don't normally like these Impy / BW blends, this is sweet.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour, no head. Late developing, initially just roasty, chocolately and toasty nutty, dark malty aroma has notes of dark chocolate and toasted cococnut; later sweet-ish, caramel malty and slightly spicy, minimally fruity flavours come in, cinnamon, plum wine, Port, Sherry, Marsala, but dark chocolate and toasted coconut remain pretty much dominant. Taste is sweet, caramel malty, mildly spicy, alcoholic, slighty dark malty and toasty nutty, notes of caramel, cinnamon, some toasted coconut, a touch of Sherry, Marsala, Port, plum wine; a minimally ashy touch in the finish, some warming alcohol as well.
Viscous texture, smooth and soft, cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation.
The aroma develops a bit with time but doesn't represent the depth and richness you experience as regards taste: rich, multifacetted, diversified, complex - very good!
