5.9% Black IPA - A few weeks before Ozzy's passing, we decided to name our upcoming Black IPA ‘Prince of Darkness’ in tribute to the then still living legend. RIP OZZY! Black IPA as noted, with Colombus, Chinook and Comet. Ideal for the coming Indian Summer weeks or future autumn days. The fading of summer and the approach of autumn summed up in a can!

330ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty, dark malty and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, freshly roasted coffee beans, hints of orange, orange peel, a sweet-ish touch of dark caramel. Taste is bitter, roasty, almost a tad ashy, dark malty, tart-ish, citrusy fruity and zesty, bitter hoppy, notes of coffee, coffee grounds, orange peel, a touch of grapefruit, subtle caramel sweetness.
Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry and almost a bit astringent palate, fine, dense, creamy, still efficacious carbonation.
Intense, quite roasty, bitter, rough and dirty - good.

30/X/25 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 30/IX/26, batch: DOK272 (2025-1081)
Clear dark brown to black beer, big aery irregular beige head, crackles down quickly, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: oooh lovely, old school black IPA! Good strong piny hops, with a solid roast underneath that, some coffee, but more of a charcoal roast, even some campfire smoke. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: oh yes, lovely, good bitterness, hoppy, resinous, piny, good deep roast, a hint of sweet malts. Aftertaste: hoppy, dry, bitter, very strong roast, hoppy, coffee, charcoal.

A bit too roasty, making it slightly unbalanced with the bitter hops
