[Copenhagen 2017] Thanks to Canadian tourist Ben. 375 ml. bottle split by 3, uneven poors / bigger poor for me at Himmeriget. Oddly turned out to be made with honey, doesn’t show given the profile. 2014 Vintage I presume. Orange with no head. Nose is dirty socks, orange, wet dog, lactic acidic. Taste is prime vinegar, acidic, puckering, airplane glue, oak, green bell pepper, near watery, vinegar. I shouldn’t like it given the whole airplane glue & vinegar etc. thing but I did but I not really a geuze.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was murky orange with a fast dissipating little white head, no lace.
The aroma had some green apple flesh and skin, freshly cut grass, sour lemon rind, driftwood, barnyard funk, bubblegum, leather, old sweat sock, basement and ended with some woodiness.
The flavor started sour through all of the prior mentioned aromas to boot in a little bit of band aid. Green apple sourness took the lead in the overall flavor. The aftertaste formed around the green apple sucking in a decent pucker of the barnyard funk and sour lemon rind. Finish was quick and acidic.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Yes, the sour was acidic with the expected harshness to my tongue. Carbonation was low and fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty nice sour ale that I could have again despite not getting any honey character. Perhaps an old bottle. Does Two Roads ever put any bottling date on anything?

Bottle @ Himmeriget courtesy of someone at another table. Pours hazy pale golden with a very small frothy white head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty, tiny fruity and slightly funky with crackers, cereal, lemon juice, red pears, hay, minerals, barnyard and lemon zest. taste is tiny sweet, sour, tiny malty, tiny fruity and slightly funky. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, tart and medium bodied. Finish is sour with cereal malts, lemon/apple/pear fruitiness and some funk. Doesn’t taste like a gueule at all but still a fair simple sour.
