Bottle shared in MV. Very slow gusher. Pours hazy orange-gold with a foamy, white head. The nose is big and funky, lots of brett action, some lemony accents. Light sweet flavour with some pithy grapefruit, more musty funk, a little salt. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Finishes with nice funk, more must, some pithy grapefruit and lemon, light salty sweat, some rindy bitterness. Great stuff.

Some very poignant bretta in here, with a little citrus and pepper. Pours golden with ok head. Light tangy finish. Tap at churchkey.

Birch and Barley, DC tap: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is a whole hock of wild yeast. Taste does a weird 180 on you and is way more hoppy while still being rather funky, but it is not really soir as the aroma would imply. Strange brew.

Sampled at Churchkey, pours a murky gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose is very solid, straw, grass, lemon rind, light funk, medicine cabinet, light herbs, a little pungent cheese. Flavor has just a little grist, grass, lemon, some white grapefruit, light cheese funk, some parm rind. Dry finish. Very nice.

Bomber. Hazy yellow, large foamy head, good retention. Aroma of strong brett, lemon, orange, yeast, bready malt. The taste is bready malt, yeast, brett, earth, spice, tropical and stone fruit, grapefruit, lime. Medium bodied, high carbonation, mild lingering bitterness. Quite liked this one. Bit of a gusher though, be careful.

bomber. Thanks Balch. Always need those saison ticks. Pale yellow, golden almost with a white head that fades to a thin line. Smells fantastic. herbal, cheese, funk, and a ton of pepper. Really nice mouthfeel. the brett hasn’t had a lot of time to develop yet but the pepper spice comes through with a little honey and some very faint hops.

Bretty lemon zest nose, moderately strong. Crystal clear golden, thick head. Brett funk, white grape, lemon zest. Medium body, soft carbonation. Excellent balance and texture, assertive brettanomyces character. Wonderful beer. I want to drink like 12 of these in one sitting.
