Taking the very best barrels from our library and blending beer aged between 1 and 3 years in the barrel for a truly Gueuze-inspired beer.
The Blend is an expression of what we do and why we do it. This is a celebration of our love affair with wild yeast, sour beers, slow maturation, barrel-ageing and blending.
Inspired by Belgian Gueuze-style beers, we have blended together carefully selected sour beers from our barrel library, and used all of our experiences from the last five years to create the 2017 vintage.
We put a 10 year best before date on our bottles as the wild yeasts will continue to age this blend adding complexity and depth. Nobody knows what it will taste like in 10 years time or how long it will be age for after that so buy one to drink now and one to get dusty on your top shelf!

Keg at Craft Clerko. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, funky, bready, musty, grape, hay, damp leaves, green apple skin, oak and vanilla. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, lemon, limey, lemonade. bright acidity, green apple skin, pear, minerals, hay, white wine and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty bright and quaffable.

Keg at CBC Clerks - London. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds ripening citrus fruits, lemon in particular. Light sweet flavour with sturdy acidity, melon, lemon, grapefruit, salt. Medium bodied withfine, spritzy carbonation. Tart finish, nicely acidic, with some sweat, more tangy lemon. Good stuff.

1/2 Pint Keg @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. Hazy golden. Nose is strongly acidic, varnish, glue, puckering. Massively USA style puckering acidic, lingering glue thick apple vinegar but also some white grape, fruit, flower vinegar & strangely appealing and hugely drinkable and puckering. I like it despite better judgment.

Brewskival 2017. Blekguldig/gul med tätt vitt skum. Fräsch syrlighet med fruktiga toner, citrus, hö, stall, halm, gröna druvor, syrliga äpplen, fruktkärnor, vita vinbär och en aning fläder. Fin balans mellan fräsch syrlighet och fruktig sötma. Riktigt gott.

Brewskival, Lördag. Blekguldig/gul med tätt vitt skum. Fräsch syrlighet med fruktiga toner, citrus, hö, stall, halm, gröna druvor, syrliga äpplen, fruktkärnor, vita vinbär och en aning fläder. Fin balans mellan fräsch syrlighet och fruktig sötma. Lite prutt/svavel/ruttet ägg i doften som dock försvinner, är enda invändningen. Tjusig.
