Collab with Stillwater Artisanal. A dark rye sour, brewed with Aronia berries and smoked malts.
Taste: Sweet yet bitter aronia berries come through first, followed by an intense sourness. The sourness then gives way to a long lasting smokiness — reminiscent of a birchwood fireplace — with a sizzle of carbonation to finish, before the sticky dryness of aronia berries comes back, staying on the tongue.

BBE11 12 19. Smells like a porter, even tastes like a porter, for about 3ms, then a tart black sour, lots of berries. Berries everywhere.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber brown with an off white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has rye and earthy sour dark fruits with some bread backing. Flavor has dark sour red fruit with dark grains and a hint of roast supporting.

Yum. Great sourness, just on the edge of puckering. Fruity, some rye, very well balanced. Absolutely lovely beer with loads of flavor. If you told me it was Alvinne I'd almost believe it.

Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Some dark malt character here. Tart dried fruits. Light dry crisp finish. A bit wonky.

On tap at Lajbah, Ljubljana. Almost completely black, topped with medium sized beige head, medium lasting. Gentle roasty nose with some very mild chocolate. Just a hint of lemon as well. Puckery sourness is quite present, but very pleasant. Lemony sourness. Light body. Very nice one.

Brouwerij Lane, Brooklyn tap: pours black with almost no head. Aroma is lactic funk, dark fruits... strange reminds me of a sour version of dark saisons of a while back. Taste is sort of sour. Kind of sweet. Large fruity notes... berries and maybe plum and the like...
