A Braggot, historically a harmonious blend of mead and beer, gained notice during medieval times and dates back as far as the 12th century. The combination of three unique honeys and the complexity of the hops and chamomile in this braggot style beer create a whimsical brew that is floral with a tart sweetness and a much awaited honey finish. Praise to the queen bee and her colony for this refreshing and satisfying brew.

Clear golden coloured body with a nice, rich, four centimetre tall, almost pure-white head. Aroma of honey, flowers, grapes, light perfume and a touch of yeast noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong honey and malt flavours up front with a airy and grassy flavour that comes through with a bready and yeast flavour near the end. Aftertaste has a very mild sour kick, but the honey and sweetness is evident at the tail end, with a touch too much carbonation and effervescence to battle through. Overall, not a horrible beer, and slightly assertive and aggressive, but worth trying you want to sample a braggot/mead and still stay relatively mainstream. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 28-June-2015 for US$5,59 sampled at home after staying up all night on 15-September-2015.

Honey, caramel, lemon, and dandelion nose. Hazy amber, thick head, good lacing. Sweet honey, not super strong, and little hop character. Light and watery. Obvious honey presence, but more beer than mead.

Bottle thanks to _angst_, sampled on September 16, 2014.Clear golden color, fizzy white head. Spicy, floral, grainy, sweet, honey scent. Sweet, sugary, sorbitol, sweetener taste. Sweetener aftertaste, like suketter (e.g. sweet n low) in cold tea. Fizzy mouthfeel, very low bitterness. Turns a bit cloying, should have some bitterness to balance all the sweetness, for my taste that is. Smells a lot better than it taste.

Bomber bought through Systembolaget. Pours clear golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves lots of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and tiny malty with sweet white bread, honey, dried papaya, chamomile, grass, soil and lemon zest. Taste is very sweet and tiny malty with white bread, tons of honey, chamomile, grass, soil and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, sticky sweet and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with white bread, honey, chamomile, soil and lemon zest. Reminds me alot of honey-sweetened herbal tea. Too sweet to be truly enjoyable.
