Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a nice size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fruity ester is quite enjoyable with some light caramel malt. Taste is a nice mix between some fruity ester (peach, apricot) and some caramel malt. Additional notes of dry fruit and more pronounced presence of sweet malt would have made this more enjoyable. Carbonation is good with an average body and no noticeable alcohol.

22 ounce bottle shared by Alraomon. Thanks! Pours a clear orange-red color with a medium head. Average head retention and lacing. Fruity aroma with mixed berries, cherries, green apple and grain. Taste is caramel, spice, nuttiness sweet malts, tea tree and the same berry-like fruit notes. Full bodied with some slight alcohol warmth. -

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one. Starts with a tall off-white head over a clear dark brown body. Malty alcohol aroma. Nutty sweet with a touch of bitterness from the hops for balance. Decent beer.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours coppery enough that I can’t see Quake1028 through it. It also has a tan foam head. The aroma is roasty, musty caramel, dark dark fruity esters and a bit of alcohol heat. The taste is sweet that builds to caramel and dark fruitiness before some molasses runs through the back bone of the beer. Some pine hop bitterness rides along from front to back. Not the best interpretation of the style but tasty.

Bottle: Amber brown pour with a smaller beige head. Caramel and vinous fruits in the aroma. Tastes sweet with caramel and toffee, still plenty of dark fruits. Rum butter and toasted almonds. Nice creamy palate. Thanks to my secret santa for sending this!

Pours dark amber into a tulip. Offwhite head slowly recedes to skim surface. Chocolate and date aromas. Lightly carbonated and thin with tangy dark caramel upfront and a sweet, lasting nutty hop finish.

Amber colour. Very hazy. Nutty, figgy aroma with deep caramel. Big body. Chewy, with heavy caramel notes and accents of nuts, apple skins. Robust earthy bitterness carries this beer.

22 oz. bottle. Wow. This is a very solid Smuttynose beer. Almost brown pour, with a nice thick head. Aroma is malty, with roasted notes, chocolate, and nuts. Taste was pretty refreshing and has a very smooth and rich flavor.
