Named for the historic trail that runs through our neck of the woods, this American IPA is full of flavor. A beautiful, deep, golden beer, it's heavily hopped for a tastebud adventure. So grab your rucksack and your pint, and come visit our side of glaciation.Named for the historic trail that runs through our neck of the woods and heavily hopped for a full-on taste bud adventure, Glacial Trail is an exceptionally well-balanced American IPA. Delightfully piney with a sturdy backbone of malt and a deep golden hue.

Sehr gelungenes IPA! (31.3.2011) --> Noten: 12,12,12,12,1,12 - 11,45

Draft. Deep gold/dull orange body. Fluffy white head. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, toasted grain, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of grapefruit, resin, pine. Lingering bitterness. Raw hops. A bit muddled.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy rust orange with a half finger if off-white head. Aroma of pine and cirtus. Taste is medium bitter. Pine with a dose of mango. Full bodied with a thicker than expected texture. Lively carbonation and a super long finish. Overall, great. I could drink this everyday.

Crisp copper and amber coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops, a nice malt backbone and a fresh fruit sweetness at the end. Medium-bodied; Nice lightly assertive hop flavour of pine and grapefruit with a very mild malt backbone showing a little depth and a very minor alcohol note with a hint of sweetness. Aftertaste is rather underdeveloped with a hint of the hops, a little malt and not much else, but an easy-to-drink IPA. Overall, a decent beer, but not great and not comparable to the IPAs from the West Coast. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Three Cellars in Franklin, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$1.89 sampled at home in Washington on 16-December-2012.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with a medium off white head that dissipates leaving clumpy lacing. Immediate aroma is spicy rye, but that fades quickly to spruce, pine resin, biscuit. Flavor its medium sweet caramel, pine, light bitter finish with buttery notes. Another one that seems aged on the shelf to me.

Bottle @ Brad’s house. Pours a bit hazy, dark orange appearance with a fluffy, tan head. Grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruity, herbal hoppy aroma. Somewhat bitter, grapefruity, mango, somewhat herbal/woody hoppy, somewhat toasty malty flavor. Pretty decent.

Pour is a amber with a small white head. Aroma is a nice pine hop with a caramel malt. Flavor is more malt dominated. Big caramel malt followed by a decent enough hop profile. Malts dominate the hop and this is more of a British style pale ale more then anything. Still a decent drinker with a malty backbone.

Sweet bonus IPA from a recent trade, thank you. The 12oz bottle pours semi opaque copper with gold hues and thin off white to light tan head. The modest aroma offers up spicy hops, earthy hops and some citrus hops. The aroma seems a bit blunted by its modest strength. The taste has a mix bag of grapefruit like citrus hops mixing with a fairly big earthy to spicy hoppiness that creates an herbal grassy somewhat bitter hop sensation. It is a little different but I am enjoying it. It just caries on that way being a bit of the watery side right into the finish with largely bittering hops as opposed to flavor hoppiness. Enjoyable IPA for sure.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a white frothy head. Aroma is floral, piney hops, citrus, and some malt; all the usual suspects. Taste is along the samelines; citrus up front with piney hops with a nice malty backbone. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a good level of carbonation. Finish is dry with some lingering bitterness. A pretty balanced IPA thats not too complex.
