A laid-back, hop-forward session IPA that delivers big flavour in a lighter package. At 4.3%, Universal is brewed for those who love their IPAs fruity, fresh and endlessly drinkable. Expect vibrant notes of mango, passionfruit and citrus from the first sip, balanced by a gentle bitterness and a smooth, rounded finish. Bursting with character but easy on the palate, it’s a thirst-quenching, crowd-pleasing beer that lives up to its name—universally appealing, any time of day.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A pale straw coloured pour with a loose white head; yeasty aroma with a little lemon; weak lemony taste; and a thin watery body.

330ml can via Beer52. Drank at home on 19th February 2026. So, so Session IPA, hoppy first and foremost, slight orangey/citrus leaning. Not a lot going on to be honest. Much preferred the Dead Canary I had before this.

Can from Garsons Farm Shop. Clear copper gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has low key citrus with a hint of spice and underlying veg. Flavourwise it's has bitter and sour citrus over a mineral and fruit core (think vitamin tablets). Some quinine bitterness into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry finish. Pretty similar to the previous SIPA I just rated from this lot, only moree underpowered with added minerals. Typical SIPA and I suspect they scrimped on the ingredients.
