Can thanks to Drake! Dark brown with a small brown head. Milk and dark chocolates, caramel, roasted malt nose. Chocolate - again both dark and milk, light coffee, roasted malt, caramel. Lightly sweet, just enough. Good stuff.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/11/2019. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of bourbon, coffee, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, oats, cocoa, bourbon vanilla, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread crust; with lighter notes of bourbon, coffee, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, peppery hops; and roast, char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, coffee, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, oats, cocoa, bourbon vanilla, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a solid hop/roast bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a fantastic English milk stout! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, oats, cocoa, bourbon vanilla, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; amazingly soft/silky feel. Amazingly rich malt complexity; with balanced lactose, cocoa, and bourbon vanilla bean flavors; and just enough earthy hops to balance sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Definitely one of the best mid/lower ABV milk stouts I have had.

From my wife from some store in Des Moines: pours black with a relatively quickly disappearing beige head. Taste is loads of milk chocolate, vanilla, roasty malts. Vety smooth and creamy. Quite good.

Deep, super dark brown coloured body with only a touch of a light off-white head, about two centimetres tall at first. Aroma of roasted malt, light anise, some prunes and raisins and a rather large hit of toffee and caramelised sugar sweetness on the nose that make this seem like it will be sweet and strong. Medium-bodied; Quite assertive and relatively pungent anise and licorice notes with some caramelised sweetness along with a rather big bite of grain, toffee, earth and some other off-freshness flavours like cardboard, funk and bitterness. Aftertaste shows more of roast and light mushroomie and earthy notes than anything else, with a defined and quite strong vanilla and cereal flavour towards the end. Overall, a decent and quite strong, but well-balanced beer with a good malty side of things and proper balance. Good to sample if you can grab this and well worth trying when the weather is slightly chilly! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha, Nebraska on 14-March-2018 for US$1,67 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 19-April-2018 in Pungoteague, Virginia.

Svart med lavt lys brunt skum. Lukter trevirke, engelsk lakris og havre. Middels fylde. Søtlig smak, engelsk lakris, kakao og nøtter. Kollapsen kommer på slutten. Kort.

12 oz. bottle. Light roasted malt, weak chocolate nose. Tangy dark malt flavor, light sweetness, hints of toasted sugars and ash.

Light bodied than I look for in any stout. Weak chocolate in the finish, light notes of coffee, cocoa, sugar. So so.
