Aug. ’16. A 0.33 l can, thanks Marko & others! It poured almost a black body with smaller brownish head. Pleasant and strong roasted malt aroma of coffee, cocoa and caramel. Flavor was similar, on the sweetish way with a little bit of caramel, while coffee and cocoa dominated. Very simple, but effective stout, harshly roasted on palate within its full body. Lightly warming in the finish, which was coffee driven as well. Quite a nice and straightforward RIS.

Can. Thanks to the American at the BeerYard fest, whose name I managed to forget (sorry!) and Miro. Black with a small brown head. Extremely pungent, heavy coffee aroma, qute wonderful, with a light touch of alcohol though. Enormous coffee in the taste, light caramel, not that chocolatey but it’s there. Simple, effective. Not as great taste-wise as aroma-wise, but really glad I’ve tried it.

12 oz can. Canning date of Sept 15, 2015. Thanks to Adrien. Full tan head on a black liquid. Aroma is modest chocolate, old coffee, light note of booze.

The flavor is milk chocolate malt base. Notes of vanilla with a solid amount of oak. Almost has a black pepper hint toward the finish. Body is pretty solid, full. It also has a slight bitterness that is mildly off putting. Alcohol is lightly notable. Ok.

12oz can. Bitter coffee aroma, oily chocolate and hop notes, not unlike a Black IPA. The added coffee throws it into diabetes sweetness territory, but it is still tasty and pleasant, not far removed from some Southern Tier Dessert beers. Kind of has that malt extract feel. Tasty, sweet, respectable enough for the style.

Can: Black with a thick, whipped tan head. Dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Taste is chocolate malt, a bit of licorice, coffee....vanilla. Very creamy...mild alcohol and ash bitter. Really easy-going. An Imperial SWEET Stout.

Can. A- Alcohol, chocolate, subtle coffee. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Alcohol, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, harsh finish. O- This has much potential but was very unrefined. Very harsh and aggressive. Almost like they took a decent stout and added a big batch of cheap vodka to it.
