Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is wood, vinous notes, dark malt, chocolate, a bit funky, red wine. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter with a hint of tartness. Finish is dry. Body is medium to full with lively carbonation. Lovely vinous wine barrel aging with some funk. Good!

Draught@CBC2016. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some caramel, oak barrel, mild red wine tones. Flavour is ripe fruits, dried fruits, some oak, chocolate, and mild alcohol tones. Somewhat dry palate.

Bottle. A- Oak. A- Black color, black liquid, foamy tan head. T- Funky, oak, tangy, subtle wine, mild cocoa. P- Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Very unique. 4 years old but this came across more as a dark sour than a imperial stout. I was hoping for flavors similar to Smuttynose Stallion but this imparted a lot more funky oak and tangy flavors. It wasn't bad but far from what I was after.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast and red wine in the flavor. Hint of soap. Malty roasty flavor with ash and red wine, dry, vinous finish. Complex, ashy. Good.

Flarra PQ. Häller upp svart vätska och rejält med tjock skum? I munnen först extremt hårt kolsyrad😱.

Loads of foam, high carbonation. Heavy vinous, sour smell. Taste is remarkebly subtle and balanced. Good bunch of roast, nicely bitter, dark chocolate, coffee. The barrel adds a nice woodyness, and the amount of wine is fairly subtle. Tannins, fruityness.

Bottle. Heavy roasted character. The red wine is perceivable. Dry, rich palate. The wine barrel did a lot for this beer.

Bottle 33 cl. 9,3% in my version. Pours an opaque jet black with a dense, light brown head. Lovely red wine aroma. Medium body, excessive carbonation, harsh roast, slightly woody. Lovely aroma but the rest is really rough. 140318

Bottle. Aroma of red wine, oak, tannine, chocolate and brett. Taste has lots of red wine, chocolate, vanilla, oak, soft tannine, malt and mild funk. Very nice, I like this wine forward stuff.
