Panela is the result of our collaboration with the exceptional Pura Panela, a Sheffield based company specializing in sourcing Panela from Colombia. This natural, dehydrated juice is derived from sugar cane through a rustic, artisanal process. We’ve combined it with high-quality Colombian coffee adding both to our Classic Porter recipe, creating a complex and layered beer with a phenomenal flavour profile.

Poured dark brown in color, frothy head.
Strong coffee aroma, mocha and ash. Tobacco and cold coffee flavors. Works for me. Coffee overdose.

Opaque colour, beige head. Strong spicey coffee aroma. Medium-bodied. Very coffeish, toasted, a bit hoppy. Nice coffeish aftertaste. Nice clean coffee porter flavour, no vegetables.

A colablack beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has lots of back coffee, roastiness, real. Taste has black coffee, some balancing caramel, roastiness. Medium bodied. For coffee lovers, coffee haters propably would not like this.

Nose is coffee grinds, charr, mellow roast, toffee, dusty cocoa powder.
Taste comprises dark malts, coffee bean, charr, cocoa powder, toffee.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close.
Tidy flavoursome coffee powered porter.

Can. Clear deepish brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light bodied dark malts. A nice malt cream with smooth flavoursome coffee, a mellow earthyness. Touch of fruity coffee. A fairly light finish. Doesn't have huge amounts of depth but, does what it does very well..

Can picked up at the brewery. Clear very dark chestnut brown. Slim sticky beige finish. Nose has earthy milky coffee. Light roast. Bit of burnt toast. Taste is semi sweet with a dry and earthy bitterness. Drinks well under the 7% as per most Thornbridge bevs. Earthy bitterness to finish. Good gear. Could fancy it more on cask though probably.
