Black with a creamy beige head. Soft Irish whisky right up front paired with chocolate, light roasted notes, earthy, some cracker malts, vanilla, and light wood. Full bodied. Finish has the Irish whisky and sweet malts but in a non-abrasive fashion. Not so much a powerhouse but a very nice beer.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Just a mild haze on this deep brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied dark malts. An oaty biscuity mellow chocolate dark malt flavour, thin dark malt cream. Earthy and slightly bitterish whiskey contrasts with a clear barrel imparted vanilla oak. Mild alcohol spice and light earthy coffee on the semi dry finish. Could be more sumptuous in the gob feel but, digging the flavour of this one.

Bottle at home, picked up from Craft Beer Central.ie, 25/12/2025.
Black topped with a good sized khaki head that dissipates to a healthy swirl over time.
Nose is roast malts, dried fruit rinds, molasses, mellow barrel tones, raisins.
Taste comprises dark malts, modest barrel, chocolate, toffee, dried fruit esters.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a mellow rising boost.
Okay sipper for the price point but overall lacking complexity and barrel presence.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Soft roasted malt with smooth whiskey, oak, touch of chocolate and alcohol. Hint of vanilla from the barrel. Body could be more full, smooth modest bittersweet flavour. Pleasant enough.
