Can at the Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Ruby purple color, almost flat. Light smoke and spice aroma. Taste is rich, malty, light spice. Interesting.

12 oz. can from Willrunforbeer, thanks much!! Dark brown pour with ruby highlights, no head. Aroma is spruce to boot! Caramel and maybe a nutmeg spice. Interesting.

Flavor is much like the aroma. The spruce tip and spice is kind of over the top. Very herbal with a spice after taste. Lingering pine tree with touches of butter. Well, I do really appreciate the new state!

on tap-pours mahogany/deep red with a tight foamy light tan head. Aroma is roasty medium malt, some resin. Taste is peat/roasty medium malt, 2nd pine hops with a light/drying finish. The sweetness tries to come out but is kept in check until this beer warms.

Dark brown with light amber accents. Herbal character - the spruce - with nice brown sugar notes. Soft body. Quite drinkable, tasty brew.
