Bottle. A- Coffee, vanilla, subtle bourbon, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Subtle coffee, vanilla, mildy roasty, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, rich finish. O- Had I not read the bottle I wouldn’t have known this was barrel aged. It doesn’t come through at all other than minimally on the nose. The vanilla also definitely outshines the coffee. Both there but not equally. Only produced 600 bottles of this and I think they could bring it back and make it even better the next time. All in all still a fine beer.

22 oz. bottle 9.6 % ABV with a limited bottle count of 591 / 600. Thin tan head dies rather fast after the pour. Aroma has a very "green" coffee bean upfront with vanilla, roast and a very mild whiskey.

I really, really wanted to like this but... The coffee bean has a vegetal like green character with the whiskey very weak in the finish. That in itself isn’t what really bugs me. The very thin body is what bothers me most. It does not display the thick, full chewy body that I come to expect in the style. I don’t know, perhaps I held the bottle a little to long but even with that said, the body is still very thin.

Bottle sample at Great Nebraska Beer Fest. Pretty close to black color. Aroma of boozy vanilla and coffee. Taste is mostly coffee, thin body.
