750 ml bottle purchased at the brewery. Julian date reads December 31 of 2015. Deep garnet color beer. Aroma is nutty, dark fruit (raisin) on top of subtle whiskey. Nice

I got to say that this is close to a barely wine. Lots of dark fruit, brunt brown sugar, caramel and roasted nuts. Decent amount of oak. Ends on a pretty large amount of whiskey but it has mellowed from some time sitting. Very nicely aged and the flavors have married together real well. Enjoyable and best to have this aged between 8 - 10 months for the flavors to mingle together and the whiskey not to burn.

Draft/Fest. A- Boozy, whisky, caramel, toffee, oak, dark cherries. A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Booze, whisky, oak, caramel, burnt sugar. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, rich finish. O- Full of booze. Tons of whisky and oak on the nose and palate. The regular brunette brown ale was pretty average so naturally aging it in barrels will improve it. And it did. This tastes like whisky with a hint of beer.
