Poured from a 12 oz can with a March 01, 2017 date. Aroma is fairly malt forward with lots of light caramel, biscuit and cracker malt notes. Moderate grapefruit and pine notes from hops with a hint of alcohol. Pours a somewhat hazy, copper orange with a medium large, thick, white head that exhibits good retention as it slowly recedes. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet upfront with some caramel and biscuit malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness with a bit of a bite to it. Some grapefruit and pine resin hop notes. Lingering bitterness, caramel and pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a very good IPA. The malt profile is way too prevalent with too much caramel malt. The hop profile is fairly one dimensional and old fashioned as well. I’m glad IPAs have moved away form this hop profile.

Maybe a bit of an old can? The Falconer is lost in this beer, and it is one of my favorite brewing hops so I held high hopes for this. Malt has a heavy hand.

16 oz can at BRGR in Prairie Village, Kansas. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a 1/2 white head. Nice head retention and lace. The aroma is floral resin, citrus peel bitterness and a bit of malt. The taste is the bitter citrus up front, and Iced Tea Crystal malt taste behind, followed by earthy resin and more bitter. The palate is medium bodied, soft active carbonation and the dry bitter finish.

Can. A- Pineapple, tropical fruits, subtle malts, hoppy. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Pine, bitter, citrus, subtle caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Wanted a lot more citrusy juicy notes than I got but as it warmed the pineapple on the nose really came out. A little bit of caramel helped with the bitterness, but not enough.

Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks David Cohen. Golden. Nice hoppy aroma, "green" and citric. Flavor is quite dry, with citric and "green" hops. Medium-bodied. Nice.

16oz can. Slightly hazy orange body, steady off-white head. Oily, resinous hop aroma..some pink grapefruit..mostly pine. A pretty decent IPA. The hops aren’t that exciting, tastes like a run of the mill IPA from ten years back. Not one I’d go back for more of. Surprised this hit 100 IBUs. Nothing super off, but mediocre and not that desirable either.

16oz can from pinkzambia Hazy orange amber with a small white fine head. Nice malty citrusy hop aroma. Some papery malt flavors but plenty of pithy juicy west coast hop flavors. Good IPA
