Bottle. Pours clear orange, medium off white head, good lacing. Aroma is funky, basement, oak, herbal, not really getting peppercorns on the nose, which is funny because I get them so often in saisons that don’t have them. Anyhoo, flavor is light tart, medium funk, lots of oak and some pepper here at least. Medium body, soft carbonation. Perfectly serviceable and less tart than normal.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a moderate acidity with some citrus notes. Some light oak and tannins with a bit of grapes. Some light peppercorn notes. Some light stone fruit and tropical fruit notes. Pours a copper color with a bit of a red hue and a medium sized, fairly thin, slightly off white head that quickly recedes and disappears. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some light citrus. Light stone and tropical fruit notes as well. Medium peppercorn notes with some light oak tannins. Low bitterness. Some light phenolic notes as well. A bit of grape skin as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer. The peppercorns are light and work well with the oak and red wine notes. The acidity isn’t over the top, though it has gotten stronger with time. Some nice fruit notes too.
