A lighter take on our legendary Speedway Stout. Smooth, velvety, and packed with a bold coffee flavor, yet sessionable.
Pace car leads the pack as a 6% coffee stout, inspired by our legendary Speedway Stout.
It features coffee and chocolate aromas with notes of roasted barley and subtle toffee character. A nitrogenated pour, gives it a creamy texture and smooth finish that stays steady lap after lap.

Pounder can for 3$. Pour is big and black, impressive, but there is no real nitro head action like I was expecting. Malty nose, no sign of coffee in the aroma. Rather mello on the uptake. Easy drinken coffee stout, probably better than most. A better flavor than I was expecting. I just wish it had some carbonation, but hey, it is a nitro. Not sure if I would style this as a pastry stout, if it really is, its one of the best non cloying pasties I've ever had. Yes, a pretty good stout and an even better coffee stout. Smooth and civilized from start to finish. Not bad! Just miss the nitro head action and the carbonation. There, you have it.

AleSmith rating number 40. 16 ounce can from Abe’s Cold Beer in Bethlehem, PA. Brown black pour. Finger-high creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma hints at dark chocolate. First sip is creamy roasted malt. Hints of bittersweet chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Remarkably smooth and flavorful. Soft, silky mouthfeel. Similar to Guinness, but without the tanginess and history. Tasty, nonetheless.

Dark, nitro head. Aroma is nutty, lots of coffee. Nitro body. Has medium bitterness, lots of nutty coffee character, quite roasty in the finish. Finishes balanced. Solid, though as usual I’d prefer no nitro.

On nitro tap at AleSmith, pours a deep dark brown/black with a cream tan head. Aroma has soft toasted malt, gentle coffee grounds, and some earthiness. Flavour is smooth, with gentle, earthy coffee grounds, and toasted malt. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel due to the nitrogenation. Simple but pleasant.
