Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth and fairly light palate for the style. Decent fine carbonation. The dark malts are surprisingly mellow, some cocoa but, overall lacking in richness. Some alright ripe fruity brandy. Light and semi dry finish that also brings mild alcohol spice. Nice barrelling, the base beer is a bit lacking backbone for me. Overall, decent.

Bottle at home, from OKasional online, 05/05/2025.
Black topped with a khaki cap that thins in time to a swirl and edgework.
Nose is roast malts, booze, mellow brandy, stewed fruits, charr.
Taste comprises chocolate, booze, dried fruit rinds, molasses, mellow brandy, black peppery spice.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost offered at the curtain call.
Okay sipper but struggling to pull into 4th gear for me.

@Feria de Noblejas’16. Black color with a beige head, medium retention. Aroma has notes of coffee beans, black chocolate and black ripe fruit. Flavor with a light bitterness, notes of chocolate plumbcake and roasted malts. Smoothy and dense final with light sweetness and hints of brandy in the aftertaste.

7th July 2016 and the first day of the Barcelona RBESG is coming towards it’s end, dark beers now replacing the lighter, citrusy flavoured beers of the earlier brews. This was on tap at Cerveseria Catalluna and shared with those remaining after a heavy session. Jet black with a full beige head. Sweet from the start this brew oozed chocolate and sweet vanilla like flavours and aromas, some Port, Brandy and red wine from the aging, no wood for me, mini red berry esters too. Very drinkable for the ABV.

Cuerpo medio a intenso algo denso. Bastante buena. Gran sensacion de licor o brandy. (r04). Para repetir sin duda.

9.7%! - Black with thin creamy head. Aroma is sweet and syrupy with plenty of dark malts. Flavour is sweet, fruity and sticky. Really smooth and no trace of the alcohol.
