For six generations, Eggers have cultivated hops amongst the unique terroir of Upper Moutere, Nelson, New Zealand, producing crops of unmatched intensity. Their Eggers Special is a super ripe, late-harvested Riwaka epigenetic variant, and double dry hopping this IPA with it has it saturated with pink grapefruit and lime, passion fruit and pineapple, gooseberry and a hint of Sauvignon blanc.

Sample, thanks fonefan Hazy golden, mid sized head. Aroma of grapes, gooseberries and passionfruit. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Slender, fruity malt. Passionfruit and pineapple. Mildly bitter finish.

Thanks fonefan! Hazy golden colour with a mediumsized white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, some biscuity and mild hayish tones with a bit gooseberries. Flavour is floral, some biscuity, mild nutty and some hayish tones with a bit of gooseberries to it.

Moderately hazed orange golden topped with a thin off white head.
Nose is gooseberries, grass, big Eggers hit, raw pineapple, stone fruit.
Taste comprises lychee, stone fruit, dank spike, pine resin, white grape.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with pissy NZ hop bitterness.
Solid.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, a mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light soft pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. Eggers Spesh hops, the chameleon hop to me, presenting here with soft pine, juicy mango and guava led tropical fruits, light savoury skunk, a little citrus and, mild white wine streak, a light nip of hop spice on the close. As always with this Dreaming series, pretty good.

Tap at Winter Affair 2026. Yellow-golden body, off-white head. Sharp NZ herbal notes, citric and peachy. Smooth taste, more heavy citric and peachy notes, quite lovely, a good one to finish the round on.

440ml can. Murky golden with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry. Taste is slightly sweet, grapefruit, gooseberry, a little white wine, pineapple, light citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Great addition to the series.
