This is the 39th version (we think!) of the acclaimed single hop series that started in 2021. Pink is a direct descendant of Idaho 7, so expect citrus and stone fruit aromas, with sweet red berry and pine on the palate, all rounded out with a heavy oat addition for the signature body and texture of Lupulus X.

Canned 21/11/2025. Golden colour, small white head. A bit bready nose with some grapefruityness. Light-bodied. Grapefruit, notes of some sweetier fruits, light breadyness, light palate. Feels a bit old already. Meh.

A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has grapefruit, lime, also sweeter mango and nectarin. Taste has grapefruit, wood, some green notes. Medium bodied. This would be much better without green notes.

Can. Buxton online. Missed a few of these my dang. Mostly clear pale gold. Solid sticky foam. Nose has clean dry grain as a backdrop to bright floral hop not dissimilar to rose petal. Bit of a twang too. Almost a lambic fruitiness. Weird but interesting. Taste is semi sweet with a decent hit of Buxton bitterness. Very clean overall. Dry-ish bitter finish. Nice one.

Can. Near clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Thin bodied pale malts, a very modest sweetness, mild cask style grain. Light and mildly crisp cooling pine. Pink hops honey and apples and pears fruits. Pinch of hop spice. Light crisp finish. Slightly frustrating. I think Buxton have caught the essence of this unique hop very well and, a massive doff of the hat for recognising this hop and offering it up a single hop affair. However, the rest of the single hop showcase is a bit of a let down, over thin and a tad too dry. A real mixed bag, splendid single hop showcasing but the backdrop is meh.
