Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is malty with lots of caramel, toffee toasted bread, and treacle. Lighter chocolate notes with some raisin, fig, date and prune. Light alcohol spice and oak notes. Pours a murky, muddy, dark brown with a few forced bubbles but no head. No lacing and long legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma and is fairly sweet. Moderately strong malt notes with caramel, toffee, toast, and treacle. Light chocolate and nut notes. Medium light raisin, date, fig, and prune. Moderate bitterness. Light oak, brandy and cognac notes with medium alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with no carbonation; Flat Abbey at it's best. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, an amazing aroma with great barrel and malt character. The flavor is nice as well but the lack of carbonation really, really hurts this beer.

Bottle, thanks to Felipe! Pours kinda murky mahogany, no real head or lacing. Aroma is dark fruits and brandy, date, fig, brown sugar, oak tannin, cherry, vanilla light cocoa, prune juice. Flavor is pretty sweet, light bitter, complex, a bit vinous, boozy but not hot, liquid fruitcake. Full body, no carbonation. Solid. Starts to get old after a couple ounces though

750mL bottle, pours a murky dark mahogany with a tiny head. Nose is complex, with dark fruits, slight oxidation and a little wood. Flavour is quite boozy, with caramel, wood, alcohol and varnish. Fairly perfumey on the finish, but very well balanced. Overrated due to rarity but very good.

Bottle shared by stfuad at my 10K tasting. Thanks! Hazy dark purplish, head fades quickly. Aroma of heavy oxidation, toffee, whiskey. The taste is toffee, raisin, whiskey, chocolate. Medium bodied, mild booze, not bad for as old as st. fuad says it is.
