A bombshell - EDITION 2025
With the launch of the 2025 Cuvée, a specialty beer blend was created that impresses above all with its high drinkability. It combines the diversity of seven regional beer specialties from our breweries into a harmonious overall experience.

In the glass, the cuvée displays an opalescent appearance with a fine, lively haze. The nose is dominated by fruity and floral notes reminiscent of citrus, mandarin, and herbs. On the palate, an elegant interplay of flavors unfolds – fresh and vibrant, with a well-balanced malt base. The finish is mild and smooth, giving the cuvée exceptional drinkability.

This profile is supported by no fewer than seven hop varieties (including Tradition, Saphir, Cascade, Opal, and Bavaria Mandarin) as well as a multitude of malts sourced from the individual beers of the partner breweries. The cuvée thus combines lightness and finesse with depth and complexity.

To fully appreciate the flavor, it is recommended to drink the Paukenschlag chilled at a drinking temperature of 8 degrees Celsius from a wide-bowled goblet or a bulbous red wine glass. It pairs perfectly with grilled vegetables, juicy burgers, melted cheese, and spicy sauces. The Paukenschlag also unfolds its broad spectrum of aromas when combined with mild to strong cheeses.

Hopfen: Ariana, Bavaria Mandarin, Cascade, Comet, Hallertauer Tradition, Opal, Saphir
Malz: Birkenmalz, Cara-Dunkel, Farbmalz, Karamellmalz, Münchner Malz, Sauermalz, Weizenmalz, Pilsner Malz

Can from the Gut Riedelsbach store... 6 bloody Euros - Fin pait 4.70€ for his in a pub! But one of, last chance to get it etc etc. Shared with Jonas. Golden body, hazy, white head. Oxidized, woody, grainy aroma, sweetish, yeasty, more citric as it warms. Bit yeasty taste, bit oxidized, some herbal, mildly floral and citric hops underneath, good body, medium, it's actually drinkable. Not in the best of shapes after 4 months, gets better and better as it warms though.

Can at Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schofweg after a short walk from home, it's a cold day. Having this sat at the bar Sunday 28th December 2025. Pours hazy dark gold/light amber with a white head. A nice refreshing slightly zippy, light refreshing and with a slight hoppiness, this is difficult to categorise apologies if this has been put in the wrong style, however the Untappd suggest of Strong Ale doesn't seem to fit. Light fruity nice mouthfeel, really nice.
