A: cooked plum, red apple, tobacco, bacon, charcoal.
T: sweetish prune, fig & red apple; biscuit, bacon & tobacco.

Can from Beerdome. Deeply malty with caramel and smoked malt, hint of roast and tobacco. Mild to medium sweet with a light bitterness. Medium plus body. I could handle a little more smoke but this is very good.

330ml can. Cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Smoky and caramel malty aroma, notes of barbecue, caramel, dark caramel, wood ashes, nutty and chocolately overtones. Taste is mildly smoky and caramel malty with low residual sweetness, notes of dark caramel, barbecue, wood ashes, smoked sausage, nutty undertones, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, meaty, focussed - pretty inspiring.

Dark brown colour with lasting head. It's very much like a Schenkerla Bock but a bit less intense in terms of smoke and malt body.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', 7.0% abv, best before August 2025. A little hazy, dark ruby with a medium large, dense, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, rather smoky aroma of caramel, molasses, smoked ham, toasted nuts and some raisins. Rather sweet, malty, rather smoky and a bit fruity taste of caramel, molasses, wet leaves, smoked ham, toasted nuts and some raisins, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very good beer, maybe not as smoky as Schlenkerla but super harmonious and saturating, overall extremely well-brewed. Chapeau!

Draft at De Paas, Den Haag. Poured a mostly clear medium brown colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, light roasty, floral, light boozy, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Pours a clear ruby brown colour and a small beige head that quickly disappears. Aroma's of smoked malts, tar, leather, tobacco ad a little red fruit retronasal. Flavour is above moderate malty sweet mixed with nice smokeiness. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish with malts turning in to toast, smokiness, and light bitterness. Very good.
