A rich dark amber beer with full-flavored, smooth taste nicely accented with satisfying notes of roasted malt and subtle bottom fermenting yeast tones.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown body with a diminishing small off-white head. Not much aroma, some caramel malt. Flavor is light malty, caramel and just a hint of roast. Not much bitter. Medium body. Nothing outstanding at all.

330 mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is coffee, pale malts, and lager yeast. The flavor is mellow and bittersweet. The palate is medium with a smooth bitter finish. Overall, a pleasant beer.

Originally rated January 2009. This German Dunkel pours a dark copper colour with a frothy off-white head, decent retention and lacing. Tiny bubbles compose the carbonation factor. Malty nose on the mild side with a watery and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Fruity taste, with a corn aftertaste. Not really a complex brew, being a refreshing swill that is on the darker side of things.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear medium brown with medium off-white head. Really smooth, medium body, medium lacing, medium lacing. Taste is slightly sweet light nut. I would have this again.

Bottle. Pours clear brown with a thick beige head - good retention. Aroma was malty and lightly ferrous. Flavor was similar to aroma - malty, sightly metallic with an almost imperceptible hop finish - almost not worth mentioning. Thin watery palate.

A classic German with just the right amount of syrupiness on the nose and in the palate, a nice grains taste, and a smooth finish. Could do with more head though.

Bottle onboard Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Malta. Light yellow color and a rather faint odor of malt with a little yeast in the background. Easy to drink with a typical taste of bread. Not that bitter, a little bit boring.
