Purchased this one at my local Métro store, in a huge 1.18L bottle. Why do they do malt liquor in such big format only ?? The positive thing about this one is that the kind of creamy white head, last a while, coating the brew and creating lots of sticky lace. Corn smell, but not as sweet as most malt liquors, properly balanced with some hop (it seems, maybe just alcohol). Again, not as sweet tasting as expected. Quite surprised overall by this one, as it does not seem as bad as the Labatt Bleue Dry 10.1% and Black Label Big 10 it competes with in Canada. If this is your thing (of course).

So this is the monster of the bunch, and really the only one I can take seriously - after all, if you truly want to get wasted, why get a 7% version of this stuff? Who is so narcissistic that they need only 8.5%? Thus, I grab a 1.18litre bottle of this for no particular reason other than my own destructive tendencies. It has a boring white head and a dull gold body. Aroma is fermented grains and rice adjuncts. Flavour is all rice and corn swill, with a sickly sweet finish. Yet, the alcohol is well hidden, which means this will serve its purpose in the backwoods of Canada when you really need to get wasted in those summer nights.
