Drunk at Lago d'Iseo after our arrival with a dessert tart. Dark brown with short-lived tan head. Nose is bready, moderate roasted malt, lightly sweet. The flavor is nicely complex, very mild hint of herbal aftertaste that might be the promised Lakritz (im happy it's so mild). This herbal taste and the bold bitterness with mild umami flavor balances it very well, this isn't an overly sweet Bock. Great one!

Bottle, licorice edition. Clear dark brown. Roasted, burned, brown butter, umami, soy sauce. Rather dry, actually not undrinkable, creamy. Not gimicky.

Bottle. Chestnut brown, low tan cream. Deep sweet and spicy roast aroma, licorice umami, some strawberry as it warms up. Medium to full dry licorice root on the palate, caramel and sugar, light soy stickiness, dry roast and caramel, pleasantly deep, Sparkly hop-bitter finish. Stouty Bock, Not bad.

Weicher malziger Beginn, glücklicherweise mit wenig Lakritz. Geringe Süße, trocken, minimal Schokolade, kurzer Nachhall. Meh. 9/6/6/6/7/7

Darker brown. Aroma is dried fig some date some caramel some slightly burnt melasses. Taste is quite bitter hops and melasses with only a slightly sweet dried fruit note. Quite soothing and full bodied. A bit warming. Not bad.

0,33 l bottle. BB 01/2028. A darkest mahagony to black in the glass with a nearly two finger beige foamy head. Looks really good. A lot of coffee, roasted malt, nuts and licorice on the nose. Taste starts strong roasty malty, choco, lactose, increasing licorice. Very low carbonated. Long lasting dark aftertaste. Less alcoholic than expected. Really nice stuff.
