Aquavit Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
AMARgeddon, a bond forged in malt. Some friendships are measured in years; ours is measured in shared brews. For this reunion with our dear friends at Amager (pronounced "Amar" just like this beer) we have created Amargeddon. This 12% imperial stout is a tribute to our shared history, brewed with Norwegian forest honey and tucked away for 14 months in aquavit barrels.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen. Deep black body, bare naked surface, no lacing. Attractive aromas of roasted chocolate malts, mid-dry. Powerful taste of earthy chocolate and coffee hints. Oaky. Smoothly roasted finish, long-lived. Enjoying. One of my best at the festival. (Trondheim, 07.08.2026).

Søndagens sykkeltur gikk (naturligvis) via ladestasjonen i Industrigata, hvor de bød på en fortreffelig planke: brunsvart med fint skum som varer lenge. Mørke dessertchokolader, kakao, bjørnebær, lynghonning (og hint av akevitt?). Intens uten å bli overmektig, og med en deilig, halvtørr avslutning.

330 ml can, from the brewery. ABV is 12%. Black colour, small and shortlived tan head. Aroma of roast malts, honey, oak and aquavit, hints of chocolate. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, but has the same elements, well balanced. Low bitterness. Warming throatfeel.

Olmost black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with some chocolate notes and some wood barrel - Dark malt body with chocolate flaovurs along with some wood barrel flavours - Dark malt flavours with chocolate goes into the finish - This was good

Tap @ Patricks. Black body under a dense, beige head that fades quite fast. Delicious aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate, hint of wood and aquavit. Taste is surprisingly smooth for a 12% ABV with soft roasted, dark malt, dark chocolate, hint of coffee, mild wood, balanced bitterness and warming alcohol. Quite delicious.

On tap at Skur 4. Looking nice, black with a small dark beige head. Quite distinct aquavit aroma and flavor, some booze, and a good dash of licorice, roasted malts and burnt hints. Warming and kind of edgy, but still smooth. Delicious. 858516
