10th July 2016: on-tap at Cerveseria La Més Petita, Barcelona with the RBESG guys. The last beer of the first session and the one we didn’t really want too see, an 11.3% ABV Imp Stout. It was also the best of the beers (in my opinion) we had while sat outside the pleasant little bar, we had all eight beers on-tap before moving on. Black bodied with a decent, lasting beige head. Roasted malts rule this brew with chocolate and coffee in both the nose and taste, light nutty notes mid-sip. Creamy texture, but not oily.

Draft at La Mes Petita, RBESG 2016. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, fudge, molasses and roast. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. [10-07-2016]

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Breadish, liqourice and dark roasted. Dry, bitter and smooth fruity. Bitter and dark roasted finish.

Tap at La Mes Petita. Black with lasting brown head. Lots of coffee, strong roasted malts, hazelnuts, molasses. Over medium bitter and sweet. Full bodied.

Opaque black - brown beer, good bubbly dark tan head. Nose of roasty dark malts and a touch of wet wood. Palate is airy and fairly dry. Mild fine carbonation. Rich and soft dark malts, lots of dark chocolate. Mild alcohol spice. Light finish. Dark chocolate linger. Pretty decent.

Small brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy floral cocoa aroma with fruity alcohol prune notes. Sweetish earthy floral cocoa taste with powdery herbal notes. Fullish body. Mild, slightly hot, powdery mouthfeel. Sweetish powdery fruity cocoa aftertaste with floral dusty notes. It’s nice, but too dense and closed. (0.33l bottle, from RiT, Barcelona.)

fles meegenomen tijdens vakantie 2015, @Girona. allereerst fantastisch etiket (+1) schenkt stroperig zwart met fijne bruine kraag. aroma van chocolade, koffie, gebrande en geroosterde mout, zoet, mocca. Smaken zijn matig zoet, matig/redelijk voornamelijk koffiebitter en iets van de geroosterde en gebrande mouten, chocolade, vanille, dik, alcohol, mocca, mooie koffie balans aangevuld met het geroosterde karakter en chocolade, volle body, romig van textuur, lage co2. prima

Botella 33 cl en el momento en el kraken tomada el 19-09-2015. Lote 15-168 hasta 09-03-2017. (r02). Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro que desaparece al poco casi por completo al poco. Aromas y sabores maltosos tostados con abundante dosis de café Torrefacto ligeramente quemado. Toques también especiados y vainilla y cacao. Cuerpo medio de 11.3 vol que se notan desde el principio. Paso por boca algo suave y bastante líquido. Bastante buena.
