With notes of roasty chocolate, it's the perfect complement to original Session - a dark beer that doesn't drink like a meal. 12 oz. pill bottle. Deep mahogany color with lasting white head. Aroma is roasted grain and caramelized sugar. Flavor is roast, ash, molasses and peanut shells. Lots of roasted notes with a medium body. Real easy drinking. I think everyone can agree that this truly is a session ale.

Tap at Eastburn, PDX, 25/05/13. Mahogony brown with a thin beige head that clears to the edge and leave a film. Nose is dark malt, grass, hint of toffee, grain, sugars. Taste comprises dark toffee, malt, light cereal, sugars, hint of citrus. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitter sweet finish. Ok as per its billing ... ’a sessional lager’

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was cola, wood and a bit of roasty malts. The flavor was dry and woody with light notes of cola and roasty malts. Long woody finish. Medium body. Eh.

Aroma is chocolate and caramel with some toffee and roast. There is a bit of a tropical fruit ester to it as well. No real hop aroma though. Pours a deep dark brown with hints of light brown on the edges. Almost no head whatsoever. Flavor is sweet. Notes of chocolate and caramel combine with some fruity esters. a hint of citrus in the finish. Low bitterness and no astringency. No noticeable alcohol flavors. A touch of roast in the finish. The mouthfeel is perhaps a bit sticky for a lager. It has a touch of silkiness to it The carbonation is also a bit low. Slight alcohol warmth. Overall an easy drinking lager, perfect for when you want something with some roast to it but still light.
