Shakedown Imperial Chocolate Cherry Stout is a full-bodied imperial stout with cherries and dark chocolate blended into the beer during fermentation. Aromas of bittersweet chocolate and subtle fruit delight the senses. Tartness from the cherries balances the smooth cocoa sweetness. Malty, chocolate and dark fruit flavors create a rich and complex beer that is meant to be savored slowly.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, light chocolate malt with light grassy hops, faint fruity notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee, light caramel, light cherry, OK. A bit underwhelming. On tap at Local, Terminal D, PHL.

On tap at Whole Foods Fair Lakes pours a muddy brown with zero head. Nose has some cherry cola, malt, a little fake chocolate. Flavor has some cherry, malt, cola, chocolate. Watery finish. A bit messy. Does not come together.

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a dark, slightly muddy brown color with a small light head head. Aroma was chocolate covered cherry cordials. Notes of light sour cherry, chocolate and light coffee roast. Flavor was much of the same, very dessert like. Lots of sweet cherry, roasted malt and semisweet chocolate.

650 ml bottle purchased at Wegmans in Scranton, PA. Bottled on 10/24/14. This happens to be my 3500 th rating.
Pretty dark / nearly black color, very thin head in the glass. Aroma is rather weak, mild chocolate without much cherry.
Flavor is much thinner for an 8% ABV stout. Body leans on medium but on the thin watery side. More body would help the flavor immensely. The cherry is here but more of a maraschino cherry syrup flavor, light chocolate malt, light cola notes. Overall very light with a syrupy texture over the tongue. Mild bitter hint in the backend.
