12 oz can. Aroma is grainy, vaguely fruity (not sure what prickly pear smells or tastes like), chalky candy. Pours hazy deep golden with a one finger cream-colored head with good retention and lace. Taste is moderately bitter with malty, grainy flavors, vaguely fruity. Tastes pretty old school, like '80s or early '90s "microbeer." Tastes a bit old maybe, as well, but I can't find a readable date anywhere, and the brewery is new to my area, so who knows.

Can. Pours mostly clear deep gold, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pine, hints of grapefruit. I suppose prickly pear? Not really sure. Flavor is light sweet and light plus bitter. Medium body, a bit light perhaps. Mostly just an APA.

Clear nice copper and bronzed coloured body with a dense, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fruit (I guess it’s cactus fruit?), light malt, earth, a touch of toffee and nutty hops and a bit of pungency. Light-bodied; Strong malty flavour with some nuts, earth and toffee and a touch of light fruits - along with a touch of sugars, but not much flavour at all, and absolutely no hops. Aftertaste shows a bit of funkiness from the fruit and stale malt and cardboard with only a touch of nice flavours - the sweetness and a bit of the earthy malt notes. Overall, a pretty poor beer in general, with some decent complexity and interesting flavours, but nothing really works in this one and is way too thin, coupled with the fact that there are absolutely no hops, but the outside clearly states ’pale ale’. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Vintage Sellers in Great Falls, Montana on 20-June-2016 for US$1,75 sampled at home in Washington on 20-October-2016.

12 oz. can, bought at Smith’s in Bozeman. Pours hazy, yellow, with a small, bubbly beige head. The aroma is pear, grapefruit, and honey. Sweet and lightly bitter. Light body, smooth, and slick. This is a smooth, fruity beer.

At SAVOR 2016. Poured a straw golden color with a small fizzy head. Aroma was some light fruit notes. Touch herbal. I got a little bit of apple juice cider notes, with a little bit of citrus here.

Savor 2016: Mud aroma. Clear amber, medium head. Flavor is clay and yeast. Light body, easy carbonation. Not much prickly pear character, which is fine by me.

On tap at Brewhouse Bar & Grille.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy orange color with some carbonation that was seen rising to fill a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head. Light lacing stuck and then slid.
The smell was basically a grassy / grainy citrus blend to the caramel malts.
The taste was basically the same but came across in a slightly cooked caramel sort of way. There wasn’t any aftertaste but it did finish dry.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Smooth carbonation coated my tongue adequately.
Overall, I say this was just an okay APA. Unsure if I would come back to.
