On tap @ Rattle N Hum as "Aged Tartare Rouge". This is a mild cloudy looking one, darker golden in color, almost a wood golden with a nice small just off-white head on the top. Smells quite oak woody at first. Mild lemonic in a way with tones of sour perches. Nice, like it. It's really champagne vinegar acidic in the taste this! Almost gastric acid sour with sour gooseberry, apricot and currants. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it's just about average on the carbonation. Surprisingly fruity within all that sharp acidity. Quite a refreshing one for sure loaded with complex flavor tones. 21.06.2015

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a filmy white head. Tart citrus in the nose, lemon, tangerine. Light sweet flavor with decent lemony acidity, some woody dryness. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Tart finish, with lightly burning acetic acid, more tangerine, gays. Not bad.

Keg at the brewpub, Healdsburg, 04/02/16. Very lightly hazed copper with minimal head work. Nose is tarte strawberry jam, juicy berry tang, no real suggestion of acidity, light balsa. Taste comprises sharp berry, acidic rise, fruit balsams, tangy raspberry, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a puckering smack. Decent enough sour rouge.
