Barley, maize grits, fine hops and water are the ingrediënts for the lager wort. This wort, Bockor-specific, gets semened with an typical brewery low yeast.

After the yeast period of approximately ten days, where the typical flavour package of our lager is determined, the young beer is cooled down to 0°C and gets it through a maturization of 3 weeks.

By a double filtration, Bockor gets its golden color and its clearness.

Bockor has a nice foam head when the beer is poured professionally in a clean, degreased glass. The smell has a nice touch of hops and a subtle bitterness.

Clear, yellow colored, small+ white head. Aroma is metallic and very strong, some malt and grains underneath. Taste is medium- sweet malt, grains, some low grassy bitterness and light metal, nowhere near the awful aroma. Light+ bodied, soft carbonation.

Bockor’s standard lager, with firm and frothy, snow white head and clear blonde colour. Grainy profile, some malt sweetness as usual, soft character with herbal hops in the finish, bit metallic. A regional ’pils’ of somewhat old-fashioned signature. Not too bad, actually, in comparison with the mass-produced pale lagers of AB InBev and the like.

3/IV/14 - 25cl bottle @ Bockor brewery bar (Bellegem) during TV recordings for Vlaanderen Vakantieland - BB: n/a (2014-328)

Clear blond yellow beer, very creamy and solid white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of grains, wort smell, hay, cow fodder. Very rural character, I like my pilsner more clean and crisp in aroma. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little metallic, grains, bit sweet, bitter touch. Aftertaste: bit metallic, very bitter, some citrus.

Decent pilsner! Opened 10.15 am on the bus to Kamperland. Oh my, this is going to be a hefty day.
