chocolate, roast & espresso
Flavour
Harkening back to the boldness of old-school imperial stouts, this double-mashed powerhouse is crafted from nine distinct malts and indulgent adjuncts, with chocolate, brown, and black malts delivering deep cocoa, roast, and espresso tones. Multiple crystal malts layer in caramel, toffee, and dark fruit richness, creating a dense, velvety body that carries through to a warm, lingering finish.

Tap at Bar Oorlam. Black, dark brown cream. Big coffee and dark chocolate notes, nice mousse foaming mouth feel. Pleasant balance, sweet, dry. Light boozy praline. A bit smoke. Dangerously drinkable. Good.

Tap at Oorlam. Dark, strong cappuccino head. Espresso, mercy coffee cream chocolate. Fluffy, light and soft, balanced be a creamy bitter coffee. Not sticky. I like.

Can picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Friday 27th March 2026, listening to the 6Music festival, we've listened to the Horrors and now Bloc Party. We had homemade Fishcakes and Rocket Salad with Pear, Walnuts and Parmesan for tea. Pours black with a large beige head, looks great. The aroma is predominantly chocolate but roasted malt plays a part and some spent coffee grains and bitter cocoa add to this. Taste follows a similar trajectory with a little caramel and toffee addee to the mix. Very old skool imperial stout, not overly sweet no adjuncts, it is a straightforward imperial stout, solid stuff but very nice.Score 7.3

Can from Beerdome. Chocolate and roasted malt with coffee, roast, espresso, cocoa, light caramel. Medium sweet with a moderate bitterness. Above medium body. Good basic classic Imp. Stout.
